Wall Hanging Betta Fish Bowls
Whats wrong with my betta fish?

Well we had our male betta fish for maybe a year or two now, and I never payed much attention to him. But I just got one of those new betta bowls that hang on the wall, and it has pebbles at the bottom and a fake plant. At night we have the air condition on in my room where he is. His old tank was smaller then the one he is in now, and he never had a filter but we change the tank when it gets dirty. He has always been in a room that has an air conditioner on at night.

The fish has been making no movement for a week now, all he does it float at the top of the tank. Sometimes I really think he’s dead, but when I tap on the glass he moves. We feed him every other day, three pellets, and he hasn’t been eating well either from what I observed. It also looks as if he might be making a small bubble nest, but I really don’t know. I am very concerned, help!

I used to have a Betta that did the same thing. The reason hes doing this is because hes probably very stressed out from when you changed his fish bowl. If white stuff begins to develop on him that means he has a disease called ick. fish get this when they’re very stressed out. If this happens you should go to a fish store and ask them for some ick guard.
