I have two oscar fish!! i need to fix the filter! HELP!
I did!! ive cleaned it many times ive had it for two years.. i over flow it so wheni i put the top back on water comes out.. and then i prime it before i start it up. .
your filter wasnt full when you started it back up today and it burned up the return motor common problem i hope it was still under warranty.
every time you disassemble one of those filters make sure its completely full by using the primer pump on the filter.
I wish i could give ya good news but your gonna have to get that motor replaced or get a whole new filter.
Fluval Fx5 Canister Filter Is a Hagen FLUVAL FX5 Canister Filter suitable for a 80 gallon saltwater FOWLR?
I have a 80 gallon saltwater aquarium, I have a yellow head eel, and a damselfish. I want pufferfish and lionfish but cant because it says they require protein skimmers. My stand doesn’t have room underneath for a sump refugium, so I can only have canister filters behind, and want the best for my tank. Is a Hagen FLUVAL FX5 Canister Fish Aquarium Filter good, or is it to much?
Thanks
I use a canister in my 75 gallon as well. It has always turned my water over enough times an hour to sustain my tank. Just watch them though, you have to clean them constantly. They get murky real fast and can raise your nitrates. I would clean them every two to three weeks when you have to change out the carbon. Good luck:)
