Fluval 305 Canister 40 Gallon Planted Tank Stocking Question?
I’m working out a plan for stocking my 40 gallon. I have a fluval 305 canister filter and change the water twice weekly. I would like to get the following:
Two Bristlenose Catfish
A Small School of Cardinals
Two or Three Angels
Four to Five Hatchet Fish (They do best in a group.)
What do you think? I think it might be a little overstocked… Should I do without something? Too many angels? Hatchets?
Unless a “small school of cardinals” constitutes about 20, you are just fine, especially with the bi-weekly water changes. Its nice to see a moderate stocklist for a change, most of the people here come asking about the 10 pacus they’ve bought for their fishbowl…

it says “There is a Fluval external filter105 in the box which is missing the Impeller,It could be good for parts!” can this be fixed if I buy a impeller?
The impeller is basically the heart of the filter. remember on finding nemo when he put the pebble in the filter? he lodged it in the impeller. Anyway. yes, you can buy a new impeller if all that is wrong with the filter is that it is missing an impeller.

Fluval Fish Tank how many fish in my fluval edge tank?
i have a room temperature fluval edge tank and it has been running for 4 weeks. how many danios could i put in( i no they are tropical but i no they can live in room temperature as i am experienced)?? also what bottom feeder for room temperature? thankyou very much and all answers are appreciated

These things are room decorations rather than fish homes and are too small for any commonly available coldwater fish. Danios are very active and need much larger than 6 gallon tanks.
You could keep a trio of Heterandria formosa or some cherry shrimp – or get a heater and keep a Betta or a pair of small species killifish.
