Betta fish stuff; what do i need to get?
I know i already asked about goldfish stuff but now im thinking about getting a betta instead. what kind of stuff should i get; How much room does it need; and just some facts would be cool. THX
As above at least 20 litre tank, ammonia & test kits to successfully cycle your tank. Ping pong ball for him to play with 20 minutes a day, a mirror for him to flare in front of for minutes every few days. Gravel, gravel vacuum, water conditioner, filter, heater, flake food, pellet food (Hikari Betta Bio Gold is amazing), bloodworm and some live food from time to time. A couple of plants to be in the tank & a little wood.
Above is EVERYTHING you’ll need and you will have the best results if followed, with this and a good local fish store who sell you a good fish you will be very happy with him and so will he and he will be more colorful and active than if any shortcuts are taken. Good Luck.
P.S. 1.5 gallon tank your betta will be unhappy and less colorful even though it may not show, they dont mind being on their own but they do get bored if they have nothing to do. They are not community fish, a mirror will make him flare…not attack. Avoid my advice if you like, just trying to get you a very colorful and happy Betta Splenden.
