Live Betta Fish Food
My Betta only eats goldfish food. Is that healthy? Why doesn’t he eat his betta food? Can he live on this food

I had gold fish before and they died all i had left over was goldfish food when i bought Bleachy my betta, so thats what I gave her in the mean time while I bought him his food. Now, thats all he’ll eat, and his food cost me 6 bucks. Is it OK that he does this? Can he live on this food for long or do I just need to buy him other Betta food?

Betta can survive on goldfish food, not only survive, but thrive as well. Goldfish food contains more or less the same nutriants as other fish food, and its only a marketing gimmic to call it “goldfish food”.

Any small to medium-small size fish that does not need a specialized diet, can survive and live happily ever after on any “fish food” including that of gold fish’s.

what can i use as betta fish tank mates?

i know betta can be very aggressive, but if i put them with a few tetras, will they eat or bite them? what else can be used as a good tank mate for a betta?

Avoid your Betta mistaking the fish for another Betta due to flowing tails and flashy colors. African Dwarf Frogs are good tank mates, as are bottom dwellers like Loach, Corydoras, and Plecos. I have my Betta in a tank with 4 Mollies, and a Golden Dojo Loach, currently. He generally behaves alright. Each Betta has their own personality though, keep in mind.

And of course, avoid fin nippers like guppies and some tetra.
