Blue Betta
My Blue betta fish has a big stomach, is that normal? If not what can I do about it to help? is it a tumor?
I have a blue betta, I’ve had it for a while and he gets swim bladder sometimes, but lately he’s been fine. His stomach is really big, and has been for the last few weeks. Is he getting fat? or is it a tumor? Is there anything I can do? I’m feeding him Hikari betta bio-gold, since the flakes always seemed to give him swim bladder.
First you need to make sure you have a male betta and not a gravid femqale. Then once you have confirmed that your betta is a male, observe the scales, do they look like they are protrudung from the body versus lying flush against it? If so, yor betta may have dropsy. does the fishes body look like a pinecone when you look at it from the top?
