Betta Velvet?
Not that I’m planning on trying it, but out of curiosity… Is there any way to treat a case of fish velvet without using medication?
Velvet can be treated using aquarium salt (or kosher salt). 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of water. It takes a little longer to treat than Ich, but its essentially the same principle. You can also use that in combination with raising the water temperature to between 80 and 82 degrees.
