Betta Fish Fight What fish don’t fight with crown tail betta fish?
My friend has a male crown tail betta fish, and she wants to get more fish. So what kinds of fish will live in harmony with it?
You have to get fish that are not classed as ‘fin-nippers’. It’s NOT the betta being aggressive you have to worry about, unless another long-finned breed like a guppy is in the tank. Even then, it’s simply misidentification.
Many tetras are fin-nippers and are a no-no. I’d recommend looking this up or asking on a forum as it’s a question that pops up frequently.
Also, if the tank is small, please dissuade your friend from adding more fish.

Betta Fish Fighter Can i keep Paradise Fish with Betta fighter fish?
i got 5 gallons bowl in which i got one big 6 mnths old betta fighter fish,,, i got a couple of paradise fish which are smaller than betta.. that fish aquarium guy told me that this fish can live with betta?? but with one fish betta is ok but with another he goes to him and open its gills and than that fish start to run here and there very rapidly…. i can’t understand that they are playing or they are fighting…. so my main question is should i keep paradise fishes with betta or not???
Oh absolutly not! Those paradise fish are a type of gourami and you should never keep gourami and bettas together as they come from the same family of fish and can get very aggressive with each other. Both orignate from Thailand and are very territorial. If you can, take those gourami back to the store asap for them giving you such horrible misinformation and if you cant do that seperate them.
There are fish you can keep with your betta but you must never keep them with other gourami, anythign with long flowing fins, or any fast moving fin nippers like tiger barbs..

I know its illegal to fight bettas but just wondering does it matter which tail it has that it would win in a fight?
Like a half moon vs veiled or plakat?
Which betta has the superior abillity?
So your saying the plakat would have a better chance of winning the fight with other bettas?
The genetic variants of the plakat are more ornamental and would almost certainly fail when up against a plakat. Veils, doubles, halfmoons, deltas etc are not built for speed.
Lighter, faster, etc. The plakat has the advantage. But the other fish would put up a fight, and give the plakat injuries from which he may not recover.
~Please do not fight them. How bored do you have to be to watch two small fish try to kill each other.
