My Betta wont flare!?
I just got a new betta fish captin jack sparrow (dont know the speceies) but its a red male the most common ones u see at pet stores. i got it from a wedding party (it was their center piece). I brought it home and it was pretty shy but after 3 days it was active followed me it was very exiting but the only flaw was it wouldnt flare. and i love when betta’s flair its amazing (i used to have a blue one same species and it would always flair.) i try the mirror thing and it just looks at it for a couple of seconds than turns away. please help i love betta’s flareing. also its brown right between the bottem of the mouth and the gills, the eye’s are like half red from the top and i think its young becaouse its like 2 cm smaller than my previous betta
ps: the tank is one gallon at 25 c (75 f)
i cant do that my parents never wanted it but i begged them so i have to take what i got… any food or teatment stuff i could buy at a pet store?
If you really want a flare, upgrade to a 10 gallon and get him a female. Add lots of decor, and he will flare at the female occasionally. Otherwise, add extra red to his surroundings
