Betta Fish Behavior
Betta Fish Behavior

betta fish- odd behavior?
My betta fish just sits at the very top of his tank, and hardly moves. He also does this thing where it looks like his lungs are having a hard time working, making it harder for him to breathe. He then swims to the top and takes some water in his mouth, releasing a bubble at the top. Why is he doing this?
He could be making a “bubble nest” It isn’t odd for bettas to do this and is actually a healthy behavior. The top of my betta bowl is covered in bubbles!! make sure his water is clear and changed about every two weeks. Also make sure you aren’t feeding him too much. Bettas originate from China and actually live in very shallow places like puddles so they don’t need much food. Hope this helps!!
