Betta Fish Care please answer?

Last night I got a Betta Fish and he seems to be doing fine but I am wondering if I am doing everything okay. He lives in a 3 gallon tank with neon rocks on the bottom and two castles in the corners that he goes into (they have holes in them for fish and he swims in and out and stayed in the back of one last night and came out when I fed him, as I type this he is swimming around), and I don’t have a heater but the water is 75 degrees F and I plan on cleaning the tank/rocks/castles twice a week, I use tap water conditioner by the way. The food says to feed him 2 – 4 pellets twice a day so I fed him 4 in the morning and 2 at night to be even. Am I doing everything okay? Should I change anything or purchase new stuff?

I got my betta 2 nights ago! Your doing great. Also don’t feed him freeze dried worms yet, because once he eats those, he won’t want the pellets any more, so feed him pellets for a long time, “raise him” on the pellets, then you can give the worms as a treat.
Does your tank have a filter? If so, buy a small gravel vacuum and remove half of the water every week, that’s what I’m going to do because my mom would kill me if the tank went dirty! Just clean everything once a week and your tank will be okay, but clean thoroughly.
You have a good feeding routine, just make sure he eats it all, and maybe cut it down to 4 or 5 pellets.
Also, for now what you have is good, and a lot of people are going to tell you that you need a five gallon tank filtered and heated. But that can wait for a few months. Get it when you are ready.

Good Luck and happy Betta- ing

Goldfish Tank Recycling?

Hellp I Decided to take the gravel out of my fish tank becaus ethe kept getting it stuck in there mouthes.

so i Bought These decorative rocks from Home Depot and i cleaned them up and put them in the tank and with the old water

when i put the fish in a few hours later they died so i took out all the water between that whole week i change the water twice
now the tank water is clear with one betta in it

The water is not totally clear yet so im going to get some aqua clear but the betta seems fine i want to know how long before the tank recycles it self and how long before i can get more goldfish

there probably was something on the rocks that killed the fish you should of washed them and boiled them before adding them to the tank.you should have kept the old gravel when changing over the rocks ,you put the old gravel into stockings to make little sacks of gravel and put it back into the tank the good bacteria would have been in the gravel.too late for that now once it drys the gravel would not have the bacteria anymore.Betta’s and gold fish don’t go together goldfish are cold water and Betta’s are warm water.if the water is not clearing up i would get rid of those stones and get some thing else try marbles or glass beads before getting more fish

Fake Artificial Aquarium Fish Tank

Fake Artificial Aquarium Fish Tank

What could be better than the tranquil beauty of a fake fish tank aquarium at your home or office? A sea aquarium with exotic fish that never need to be fed. There is nothing more peaceful than a tank full of beautifully colored fish swimming around. In fact some scientists have called aquariums the ultimate stress reliever. Of course less stress means better health and peace of mind. Because of t…
