Male Betta Fish Compatibility

Betta fish compatibility?

I have a male betta fish in a 10 gallon tank. He seems depressed, he does not swim much and just “lays” at the bottom of the tank. Would getting another fish help him? If so, what kind of fish can I get?
Thank You.

that first person sent a virus in that link by the way..report him..

anyways you CAN add fish. a male betta will attack both male and female bettas, despite what people think. professional breeders only put a male and female together to breed, and once they are done, they are seperated again. lots of fish are able to be kept with so long as they dont resemble the appearance of a betta. (a guppy wont work because it has a long beautiful tail like a betta). the betta in the tank just needs an area to claim as his territory, and in a 10 gallon, there is lots of room. if you have a heater, filter, and air pump (hope you do if you have that beta) then you are able to add other fish.
