What is a better external filter for use in Discus tank ? Fluval 5 external or Eihem ?
I personnally like the FX5′s. They are a beast at keeping a tank clean. You also get the added freedom of being able to add your own type of filter media inside of it. You can use foam pads, carbon, zeolite, fine filter pads, bio balls and on and on.
The eheims are good too but too uncustomizable without major DIY to them.
