Swapping aquarium filters over?
Have a 30l tank which was set up for a while with a under-gravel filter but i decided to replace with a Fluval filter. For the last week they have been running together and want to get rid of the under gravel one.
How long should i wait so the new filter has all the bacteria it needs? Has 7 fish and 3 plants in as well.
I think you can probably remove the under gravel one now. Bacteria will be in the new filter and it also is in the substrate of your tank, as well as floating around. Those under gravel ones are pretty useless, so it’s good that you got another one.
