Is my Betta Fish sick?
I bought a Female Betta and it has white/seemingly see-through skin. around its gills it has whitish- gray and it looks a little swollen. i have a picture. Is it sick? if so, what does it have and how do i fix it? it also has Black eyes that seem to be protruding from its head a bit so i don’t know if it has Popeye. here is a picture. i can provide more if needed. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/828/bettafish.jpg/
IT swims at the bottom, and sometimes just lays at the bottom of the water. i thought it was dead earlier
I don;’t have a filter. was told I don’t need one.
current tank: bowl. 1/2 gallon
no heater. last water change: 2 hours ago
nitrite/nitrate levels: unknown( i’m new to the whole fish scene)
water conditioner: Bowl Buddies fizz tabs
No longer sinking to the bottom, but swimming around merrily. still has a big stomach. it is white and looks like the white is on the inside
looks extremely bloated. tank is horrible as well.. give it a small pieces of the inside of a pea. and don’t feed it for a day. you should get a bigger tank with a filter and a heater for it.
