thai silk flowerhorn hump vanished n nw it not developing?
i have a 18mnth old (approx) flowerhorn in my aquarium….i gt it home wen he ws a small kid…i raised him well wen he developed a nice decent hump..after few months he strtd poopin white stings..i treated him with dependal-m tab as i used da same fr my discus fish…durin dat tym his hump was lost..later in few days he recovered frm dt stingy white poop thng…n ws happily moving eatin n all…bt since dt tym..its past last 3-4 months…he havnt developed da hump again…da hump is vanished…ders nothn lyk a hump on his head now..its totally flat…pls help me wt to do to gt da hump back again…its a thai silk flowerhorn…
It sounds like your fish was suffering from an intestinal parasite during a key growth period. Because your fish spent his energy fighting off the parasite instead of growing, he lost valuable time. And now it is possible that his growth period is over.
Although I am not sure why the hump disappeared in the first place, since it has been at least 3 months without any signs of it growing back, I think that your flowerhorn will likely never grow it back.
