What should I put in my ten gallon fish tank?
I was thinking some type of neon tetra… I know its too small for any discus or angel fish right?
Thanks for the help, I just wanted some ideas I have a 55 gallon fish tank full of cichlids…i out my cichlids in the ten gallon when i clean the tank but now i wanna put something in there….. I like the dwarf gourami & tetra ideas.
First of all, did you cycle the tank?
Yes, you’re right, a 10 gallon is WAY too small for discus and/or angelfish.
You could put 6 neon tetras in there, with a couple male platys.
That’s just my stocking suggestion, but I do know for a fact that angels or discus can’t go in a 10 gallon, even if they start small.
And BTW, don’t listen to ANYONE who brings up the “1 inch per gallon rule”.
Yes, you can use that for SOME fish, such as neons tetras, but obviously that doesn’t work for almost all species of fish. (Like angelfish & goldfish.)
