How do I warm up my betta’s fish tank?
I don’t have a heater right now for it, but how do I effectively and safely change the temperature of the water?

The only way I know of to safely and effectively warm up your Betta, without a heater, is to turn the heater up in your house.
After reading some of the suggestions about heat lamps and such, made me shiver.
I hatch brine shrimp and the water temp has to be around 80. I use a lamp. But what makes me shiver at the thought of a Betta is I have to constantly check and monitor the temperature. Sometimes it dramatically drops, sometimes goes too high. I’m constantly checking and moving the lamp around. Especially when there are heat fluctuations in my house. And the lamp has to be about 4″ away. While the shrimp are still in the shells the heat up and down isn’t a big deal. Once they hatch it is a very big deal. Then I really have to stay on top of it all the time or I’ll cook them.
Do you have an aquarium thermometer? It’s the only way to know for sure. But even then it’s only going to let you know the temperature is safe at that moment, not the next.
