How long will it take for my Betta / Fighting Fish fins to repair?

My Betta was in a tank with other fish in the shop I bought him from and his fins had been nipped by them. I have had him for nearly 3 weeks now and his fins still aren’t fully repaired…. its just the ends of his fins they are a darker colour and shriveled kind of they don’t look good at all and I ain’t sure but maybe his top fin might be ripped off a bit . So i was wondering if anyone here knows how long it can take?
I know that you can buy stuff that you add to the water that can quicken the process and I believe the temperature ca also help when its hotter. but I want to know what you lot know about this without the temp being raised or adding this stuff….

It all depends, My tiger oscar will fray his fins, then a few days later they will be back to normal. But my sister has three silver dollars who she bought when they were babies. When she got them their fins were frayed, shes had them for more than two years and the fins are still frayed but they are healthy. So it isn’t something to be worried too much about.
