Betta Fish Swim Bladder Problems

What do you feed Bettas in a community tank?

I was thinking about putting my betta into the community tank because it would be a better environment for him…

However, the last time I had a betta in the community tank I ran into a problem….and that is, my bettas eat pellet food, and the rest of the fish eat flakes…

So when I feed the betta, the other fish steal his food – swim around with it for a while, then spit it out once it gets soggy – then the betta wont eat it

When I feed the other fish, the betta swims to the top of the tank, scares the rest of the fish away, and gulps a lot of the food, and gives himself swim bladder problems….

What do I do? Am I doing something wrong?

What do folks feed Bettas in a community tank?

I alway feed my other fish first and wait till they’re full, then feed my betta as the other fish eat the betta food leaving him hungry. I feed my other fish bigger pellets though that the betta doesn’t eat. I also feed him live or frozen food and they all eat it. bloodworms are good, my betta eats them from my hand.
