help with my betta fish!?
my betta is a male and he’s blue and at the edges of his fins there is a hint of white and red..is something wrong with him? and his fins that hang down underneath him look mangled almost but there not? and another thing…i’m assuming he pooped but when he did he ate it? is that normal too?
The colors on his fins are just fine. I have a few that are like that. I also have on that looks mangled, but again its just the ways his are. It also depends on what type of Betta he is, meaning, veiltail, doubletail, etc. Do you have gravel in his tank with him? Do you have a heater with him? What size tank is he in? If you have gravel, then the poop in down there. If he is eating it, then you are not feeding him enough. I have 11 adults and I feed them once in the morning and once in the evening. The more variety you feed them the healthier and happier he will be. Mine get frozen and freeze dried bloodworms and brine shrimp along with pellets, flakes, and mosquito larvae. As long as he is eating ok, swimming well and making his bubble nests, then he is a very happy content Betta.
