What a reservoir of good size for a male Betta Fish? Also need a heater?
I just purchase male Betta fish. I already had one gallon tank half, so that only you use and bought stones and a plastic bit "old vase" decoration (from Petco). He seems quite happy, always active, and nothing inside and outside the ship. My only concern is that does not seem to eat anything. Only been three days, but I fear that perhaps the tank is too small or the water is not hot enough? (If this kind of things affect appetite?) The quality of water must be good because I used the spring water and added some pieces of aquarium salt. In addition, not all stains or damage to the drift and I do not think you have an infection. Any information would be useful, I do not want my fish are dying of hunger! (
Heaters are not needed, but very good. The energy will increase and the fish will be happier with a heater. Bettas are tropical fish so ~ 80'F. I can use a tank 2.5 liters for my Betta .. I think you'll be fine with 0.5 liters, but it's a bit on the side that can survive in smaller tanks, but not necessarily as. I would say that I should go the biggest is 5 gallons (10 liters or get a splitter and you can have two!) Food desires .. Are you using pellets Betta little? Betta stomach is as big as your eyeball … So really, 1-2 pellets 2x per day is more than enough food.
