Betta Fish Nests
Betta Fish Nests
my male betta fish made a bubble nest?

I have a blue male betta fish and it made a bubble nest in it’s tank. The tank is small, like small small. im not sure what to do because this is my first fish. please help!

Yup. They do that.

You don’t need to do anything about the bubble nest, but it sounds like you do need to do something about your Bettas home.

Bettas need 5 gallons, a gentle filter, (adjustable or sponge,) and a heater to maintain their water at a steady 80 degrees.

Kept in a tiny, cold, stagnant tank, a Betta is “lucky” to suffer through a year. Properly kept, he should be around making bubble nests for many, (5+) years to come.

Edit:
FYI, good Betta basics:
