betta fish or hermit crab?
which would you rather own~im helping my kids i babysit decide which they want as their first pet, they are 5 and 8
I’ve had many hermit crabs and betta fish when i was a kid also, im not sure which was easier to take care of tho, the betta fish were pretty, but they didn’t do anything, and the hermit crabs could be played with but if a little kid gets pinched by a crab, you know that they will never want to play with it again
I have both hermit crabs and bettas,and of the two bettas are easier to care for.You can get two bettas and put them in separate tanks next to each other and they’ll fan out and show off when they see each other.Hermit crabs are alot of work and require the right temperature and humidity,fresh and salt water,a 10 gallon glass tank, coconut fiber heat bulb and heat mat,a lid for the tank.There’s alot of great web sites for hermit crab care to help you decide.Good luck!
