Betta Fish Jerky Movements
Is something wrong with my betta?
All day long today he has been swimming erratically, up an down, back and forth, very jerky movements which is not like him. He has also been flaring alot today (more than I have ever seen him do). I noticed he was staying on side of the tank doing this so I figured it might be his reflection so I put a piece of paper up beside it to try and block the glare. But he is still swimming around like a madman. What could be his deal? All water conditions are good, 5 gal tank, heater, everything. Toad is usually a very entertaining fish to watch but this has got me worried.
he mght be adjusting to some kind of water change. I wouldn’t feed him for a few days, and just monitor him for a while. my bettas occasionally swim erratically or sometimes are perfectly still. Then they see me and expect food. I wish I knew what they were thinking so I could give them what they need.
