MY BETTA FISH,SAMMIE,I THINK HES DYING!?
I am so sad…
I think he is dying. Tank and contents: Tank 30x12x15 Tropical Tank
Aquarium Gravel,Ornamental Bridge,Skull,Urn,Plastic plant.
7 Neon tetras(6 have white spot). Sammie: Red(Dull, unlike when we first got him)Has pop eye, white spot, tail rot, bite holes in his tails (I DON’T KNOW WHATS CAUSING THESE)
He was my first fish. From Peter Barret’s store. Has killed 1 Neon Tetra and 5 penguin tetras.
I have had him 3 weeks(Im new).I had a recent water test and can tell you the results
Im not really sure what many of them mean but the woman said it was ok and to siphon gravel and do a water change (done both) Also and tap water conditioner, She said they were very hungry so i fed them ( 4-5 pellets) Baby ones to.
Water results:Ammonia 0.25,Nitrite 1.0,Nitrate 20,PH 8.5.
Plus. I went to turn my filter up, and the water swished. Sammie was still, and he did a summer-salt. He is very lethargic! HELP! i am treating him with tail rot and anti fungus treatment At the moment.
Sorry to say, but you’re water conditions must be terrible for him to have so many conditions…
Try aquarium salt. Then buy ich medicine. The holes in his tails could be from a sharp ornament in his tank, or the tetras.. Are you sure the neon tetras aren’t cardinal tetras?
Ammonia and nitrites a litlte high. Nitrate’s at the top end of the scale. Separate him and turn up his heater to 80degF.
Research causes and treatments of ich, tail rot and pop eye.
