What disease does my Betta have?
My Betta fish has little white spots all over him. I think it’s fish flu but I can’t be sure. Ant ideas? I’ve treated him for fish flu. The white spots went away then came back. Help please.
My brother’s fish dies like this and we treated him for Ich.
What on earth is fish flu? What did you treat him with? I have NEVER seen anything that claims to treat “fish flu”.
Your fish has Ich. It’s a parasitic infection and you need to treat it as such. Get Ich/Ick treatment from your pet store and use that to treat him; this is very common fish medication, very easy to find. If you do not treat it, the parasites will continue to fall off, multiply and attack your fish until they kill it.
Edit: Yes, even with treatment, they will sometimes die. This is usually due to the owner treating the fish too late, or the fish coming down with a secondary bacterial infection. Nothing is 100%. Your fish still has Ich and needs treatment for it.
