Can Betta Fish die of depression?!?
OK, so i went on vacation, and i needed to give my betta fish to my friend for a week. the ride there was bumpy, and i thought i would have killed him.. but he was ok.. she took really good care of him. i just brought him back last night.. the ride was the same… and then i left him on the counter until this morning when i fed him, and brought him back up to my room to clean him. he seems a little.. unhappy. like sometimes he will be in the corner.. like just floating there. i thought he was dead. and he hides under the plants and barley moves or swims.. and he didnt eat too much this morning.. i dont think he is sick. cuz i thought i would see something on him? idk. his nose is starting to lose color too.. i am kinda obsessed with the care of my pets.. so i just wanted to know if i should do anything for the little guy.. change his habitat? idk.. i know its stupid but if he dies i will be crying for a day. :’[ help?!
no its not depression its stress……he had a lot of activity that hes not use to and fish stress easy……..so give him some time and also there are products at your pet shop to help with stressed fish….you add stuff to the water and it helps them while there stressed……good luck with him……
