Betta Fish Cost
Betta Fish Cost
Id like to get a Betta fish but don’t make much money. How much would everything cost for it?

like the tank and food and everything… but if that’s a lot of money what type of fish would u suggest?

Do not buy cheap little bowls or betta kits.
Contrary to what some people said bettas DO need heaters AND filters.

A 5 or10 gallon tank (10 is better, they’re only about 5 dollars in difference in price so you might as well get the bigger one) should be $30-40 at Walmart, which is where I got my 10 gallon. You will then need to get a heater, which you can find for probably $15-20. You’re going to need a few plants(real or fake), and maybe a little rock house, which you can probably get all of that for under $20. Some rocks, you can get a bag for about $5. Food shouldn’t be too expensive either. And the betta itself (don’t get it from walmart) should be $4-6.

So all together, that’s around $80.
It seems expensive, but you’ll only have to pay it once, and it will provide the best possible care for your betta.

You should also get a gravel vacuum, about $10.

You’ll also need dechlorinator and Stress zyme, very cheap.
