Betta fish breeding questions?
I want to get a female betta fish to breed with my friends boy betta. He is over 4 years old, and she would be a little over 6 months old. would it work or what would go wrong?
it could work out..but your male betta is quite old and may be out in his prime breeding.but 1 good sign you can observe is when the male still makes bubble nests..you do not have to have more than 1 female.it is just a waste of money and fish.a female will readily breed with a male as long as she is already mature for breeding.aggression is normal and female usually gets beaten and her fins nipped.it is not true i think that male bettas are picky.they will breed to any female whatever the color.you should try it.just search on the internet on how to breed bettas.
