Betta Fish Breeding Steps
Betta Fish Breeding Steps

Introducing the betta fish pair?
hi, i have followed every step of the way and just 2days ago i let the female out of the chimney. Since then the female chased the male around a little (which is wierd, since the male is suppose to) and they act like they dont even care about eachother. When the female was in the chimney. the male always flared at her, and the female flared back. Now that they are together they seemed intrested but now the male dosnt care, why? The male didnt make a bubble nest, but i figured if i let he female out he will either make one, or breed without the nest, which he will soon realize, and he could know that for next time. Why didnt they breed? Whats going on? I have a 10 gallon tank with about 4-5 gallons of water in there, a heater(82) and ALOT of plants with a styrafoam cup.
Well they dont necessarily make a bubble nest in the foam cup. They do it where ever they want to or commonly in the corner of tanks it’s nature for them. Ive had experinces also. Keep the female close by him in a marina kit or a bowl. They will spectate eachother 4 awhile. just leave them alone go watch tv or some thing. They will flare and dance at eachoher then after a week or so has pased by now he should start to make the nest. If he doesnt it means he’s not ready or the female is not ready or posiblly they arent ment for eachother. then you can try a diffrent pair later on in the future.
