are there any betta breeders near Columbus OH?
I’ve bought 2 bettas this week from a local PetCo.(At different times of course!). The first had fur coat and the second had ick. I still want a fish, and I only have a small tank, so a betta seems to be the best option. Where else can I get a betta besides a pet sore? I was hoping to maybe find a breeder in the area.
You can check at the Columbus Area Fish Enthusiasts next meeting, or contact an officer. I know that years ago there were quite a few betta breeders in the central Ohio area. There are also many fish club auctions, and every one I’ve been to has a least a few bettas.
Then besides pet stores and local breeders you can buy bettas from breeders in Thailand, Indonesia and other places through the internet. The shipping costs are fairly reasonable because lots of orders are combined to split the costs and just do the import paperwork once. They are then shipped to each buyer once inside the US.
