Why does my Betta fish keep opening & closing his mouth when he sees me? Also, bubble nest question…?
Whenever I approach my Betta’s fish tank, he swims right to me and he opens & closes his mouth several times even though he has already eaten his food. Is this just normal Betta behavior? Also, sometimes he opens his mouth really wide.
Everything else is normal, and he’s busy building his bubble nest. Oh, in time, will a male Betta fish stop building a bubble nest….will he eventually realize he’s not going to be depositing any eggs?
My betta fish is definitely a male. You can tell a male apart from a female by the way they look.
that nest will be abandoned and rebuilt all the time with no end in sight as for the opening and closing of his mouth that is nothing to worry about he just has personality
