Are betta fish’s eggs white?

I think my male and female bettas had a baby, does that mean their baby egg is white? And my female protects it is that normal?

Bettas are bubble nest builders and the male builds the nest. This nest is usually two or three (or more) layers thick with bubbles. This makes seeing the eggs a little difficult, because healthy fertile eggs are clear/cloudy but NOT white. White eggs are dead eggs or unfertile eggs, but don’t dispair because all spawnings produce a few unfertile eggs, the male betta will usually pick most of these out and eat them.
Regarding the female guarding the eggs-that is not normal, in fact male bettas usually don’t tolerate the female or any other fish anywhere near the nest.
It is possible your bettas have not finished spawning yet and the male is still allowing the female access to the nest.
GOOD LUCK—Devin
