Can I use a clear tank divider to separate betta from other fish?
I have a betta in a 10 gallon aquarium and I would like to put in a tank divider and add some more fish(not bettas) to the other side. The only dividers in stores are clear. Ive heard of people using soffit to make a divider. Will the clear divider cause my betta to flare up and be stressed? Or is it ok because there wont be other bettas? Also, what fish do you recommend for the other side?
Steve: if i put them all together, wont my betta be aggressive because he is already established in that tank? ive heard that if you add all the fish together its fine but that you shouldnt add other fish to an existing betta tank…
It depends on the personality of the betta. In most cases you are safe adding non-bettas and fish that do not resemble bettas in the tank.
Rasbora are nice additions to betta tanks.
You could get the clear divider and gage his reaction, eventually removing it if he seems calm enough.
