Anyone know where I can find a 5 star betta?

I’m looking online for fish stores …ebay etc but I don’t want to pay 30 plus dollars for it plus $25 shipping. Do you know any good places to buy fish? I would prefer to pay $10 or $20.
Looking to breed them.

Depressed betta fish?

im 13 and my friend had this betta and she wasnt caring for it very well. (not feeding enough, not changing water enough). So i felt bad for it and she gave it to me today.
I have another betta thats living in a 5 gal tank(filter heater etc) with some tetras and she is very happy. (i take very good care of my fish)
I dont want to put the new betta in with the old one cause it would be to many fish and i dont want them to fight.
(both are girls)
So i have the new betta in a temporary fish bowl (ordered a 4 gal tank today online)
SInce she was mistreated she is really depressed- clamped fins, sitting at the top of bowl.
I looked it up and she is depressed but i was wondering if there is treatment for depressed bettas.

Keeping the water clean and warm is the best thing you can possibly do right now. That is the best possible cure for a betta used to terrible conditions.

I’m not meaning to be rude, but 5 gallons is fully stocked with just a betta. Tetras are active little critters and need the length of a 20 gallon to swim in – smaller conditions make them stressed and therefore more susceptible to disease, especially in groups of fewer than six (which a 5 gallon really can’t support). Please consider a 20 gallon for them – your betta would be happy in a 20 gallon too.
